As a kid, I always wondered what it would be like to be a Weatherman on TV. I was sitting with my mom and dad,

watching the local news of San Francisco, and wondering through Pete Giddings on Channel 7, always realizing

exactly what was going to happen. I thought to myself this would be a cool thing – time to learn about the future!

More than two decades later, I had the opportunity to become a TV weatherman, albeit regularly filling a

vacation at a small station in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, from my previous life as a sports reporter. Of course, until

then, I realized that prophecy is not so much magic, but a lot of science. I was still fascinated by thAs a kid, I always

clouds in particular to be the most interesting. Now, almost 25 years later, Cloud has reached a whole new level in my

life as a technology consultant and consultant. Similar to the effect of a naturally occurring name in the sky, the rise

of clouds in the computer world has signaled a change in the climate of business computing. But just what is this

notion? And what are the pros and cons of adopting this growing trend in your business, especially the weaker

economy and the more obvious effects on small to medium businesses?First of all, you need to understand exactly

what “cloud computing” means. Since the early days of ENIAC, man has been thirsting for ways to gain the power to

process more and more complex tasks. Initial machines rely on fast internal workings to do this, as long as the trend

is to increase load sharing by combining several different machines into a single cluster on one site. But in the 1990s,

the roles of Ian Foster and Carl Kesselman were different. He opined that installing a “grid” on multiple machines

remotely connected could be a great way to share loads on many more CPUs. Unfortunately, since

machines can be separated by large distances, delays or delays in accessing the data store prevented the concept

from gaining any major traction in the business world. So the acceleration of the Internet and its adoption allows for

computing and incorporates a level of decentralization into what the Internet is. Cloud computing can be both

private and public. Private clouds are built, used, and maintained by an individual organization for internal

organization or private resale. Public cloud computing is selling services to anyone on the Internet. At the

moment, Amazon Mazen Web Services, called S3 (Simple Storage Service), is the largest public cloud provider,

although Microsoft’s Azure platform is growing rapidly, as well as EMC. The public cloud marketplace is divided into

web-based email to inventory control and database processing. Infrastructure-a-service with Amazon’s S3 provides

virtual server instances with unique IP addresses and on-demand storage blocks.  The third menu item is a set of

platform-a-service, software, and product development tools that are hosted on the provider’s infrastructure. This

allows developers to build applications on the Internet on the provider’s platform and does not create and maintain

an expensive testing environment. PaaS providers may use APIs, website portals, or gateway software installed on

customers’ computers. Force.com, developed by Salesforce.com and GoogleApps, are examples of PaaS. Prospective

developers should be aware that at present, there are no standards for inter-functionality or data portability in the

cloud. Some providers will not allow software created by their customers to move from the provider’s platform. One

kind of purpose is defeated, isn’t it? Recently, improvements in several key components have accelerated the shared

computing concept of what cloud computing is today. The ever-increasing availability of high-speed connectivity,

advances in data storage, and increased input/output efficiency have allowed this earlier concept of grid computing

to evolve. Today, cloud-based applications and storage are being touted as the next wave of business tools to jump

better than where we are today. Many large industries have already taken advantage of cloud concepts to realize big savings.
